What are the advantages of shopping at the Birdsafe Store over many other stores, both online and in your home town?

  1. All products are taped with our exclusive Birdsafe Store tape - this not only identifies the package but assures you that it has not been tampered with.
  2. No items sold at the Birdsafe Online store are store or packaged in an environment with birds, and we require that of our suppliers as well.
  3. Your package will always arrive in a clean, previously unused box that has not been exposed to any chemicals or cigarette smoke. More Info: What's in a Box?
  4. Food items are never repackaged from bulk.  Many bird food manufacturers will advise against repackaging of their foods and none of them will guarantee the freshness.
  5. Whenever possible and practical, smaller food items are bagged in an FDA-approved outer bag.
  6. Boxes with food items are labeled "Perishable."
  7. Store items are never taken to bird marts or other places with birds and brought back for sale.
  8. Our toys are made with safety as the first consideration.  We don't like cotton rope or long strands that could wrap around a bird's neck.
  9. We spend the extra money to utilize our own digital certificate for a secure checkout process.  When going to a secure checkout, always make sure that a lock icon (Internet Explorer/AOL) or key icon (Netscape) appear on the bottom of your browser window. Double-clicking on this icon will give you information about the security certificate.  You can also verify our information through the GeoTrust Icon on the left side of each page. We feel strongly about having our own certificate and not a shared one.
  10. We also provide all checkout processes (with the exception of PayPal payments) in-house.  When you supply critical and personal information such as your address info and credit card info, you are never taken "off-site" to a third-party payment processor. We feel this provides some extra security for you as a consumer, and also prevents any third party from distributing your address or email information to lists.
  11. Credit card information is not stored on our database longer than is necessary to process your order.
