Toys

A good variety of toys is not only for their enjoyment, but also provides birds with foraging activities, interactive skills, and lessens boredom, which can lead to feather-destructive behavior and other health issues.

It's important that your birds have a variety of toys, from ones they can destroy to ones that are colorful and stimulating. All birds are different, so watch your birds closely with any toy to see how they react to and safely play with them.

Various toy makers and stores will often label toys according to bird size, such as "small birds, medium birds, and large birds."  While this can be a good *guide* to toys, each bird is different, as well as some people will consider certain birds differently, like African Greys -- some people feel they are large birds while others feel they are medium birds.

The key to toys is to know your bird, what he/she likes, is afraid of, and what stimulates them mentally and physically.
