Customer Reviews
These medium (3.5 to 5") pinecones have been harvested from a pesticide-free area and sanitized for safe bird use! They hang on a short section of 1-1/2" plastic chain and colorful sisal rope, with a stainless steel eyebolt and nickel-plated pear link. A stainless quicklink is optional.

Excellent toy with one proviso
My cockatiel loves this pine cone. At first he found it frustrating because it's attached only at the top and moved whenever he tried to test it/feel it/ chew it. So I anchored it at the bottom with some string so that it would not move away from him whenever he touched it and he started chewing it and enjoyed it very much. Went through it pretty quickly but I see the refills are relatively inexpensive and have stocked up. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I had to anchor the cone. I think it should come with a provision already made to anchor it at the bottom. ]STORE NOTE] While anchoring a toy at the bottom with something like a string can be a good thing for some birds, something like this could be an entanglement hazard for some birds. The key is to know your bird.

Nothing wrong with toy....my bird is just not that interested
My Jardine is suspicious of ALL new toys so it takes a while to slowly acclimate her to it....placing it on the table next to the cage for a few days, then hanging outside her cage where she can see it for a few, and finally inside the cage. While I can't say she loves this toy, she will go to it if I stick a few of her treats in there. I am hoping that eventually, she will chew on it to exercise her beak. She typically loves chewing things, so I am a bit puzzled that it is taking her so long to warm up to this particular toy. Still hoping though.....I am sure it would be great for another, less cautious bird.
