Great for bird foot comfort and preening
I love Booda cables. They are brightly colored and attractive looking in the bird cages, come in many lengths and styles, and are a good value for the money. I use them in my cockatoo's main cage, travel cage, and for hanging perches. They add to variety of size/textured perches for my cockatoo. She favors them over the ribbon wood, manzinita wood, or other perches I offer her. As a bonus, she loves to preen the small cotton strands out of them, so they serve a toy function also. Some of the manufacturers recommend you wash them, but I have found that sometimes the glue comes loose that holds the end cap on after a wash. I do however follow the manufacturers recommendation to keep them trimmed of long strands to keep from foot entrapment- usually an annual task. I like to replace the heavily used ones every two years as they get used up being preened, but less often used perches have lasted a decade.

Jax loves it!
My amazon loves standing on the perch and particularly loves preening the strands out of the rope. I also just purchased the "bushy tail" toy made of the same material and he has started preening that as well. We are very satisfied!

Mix up the Perches and make it COMFY
Over the years, I've learned birds love a variety of textures to sit upon and so these comfy perches are a nice change from sandalwood or sticks. They're easy to clean if you have bird wipes; I place them up high so they don't get pooped on all that much! Great product!
