FOR USE IN BIRDS -- that are being converted from seeds or any other diet. Birds should initially be fed High Potency Formula for a period of at least 6 months. -- as a year round formula for canaries, doves, budgies (parakeets), cockatiels, lovebirds, finches and other medium to small parrots. -- that have special needs such as birds that are molting, overweight, underweight, particularly active, housed in a cold climate, recovering from an illness or affected by liver or kidney disease. -- that are weaning. Birds should be fed High Potency Formula for at least 6-9 months. -- that are breeding. Birds should be fed High Potency Formula 1-2 months prior to the breeding period and until chicks are weaned or for at least six months before resuming Adult Lifetime Formula. The amount of supplemental certified organic vegetables and fruits may be increased until the chicks are weaned. For each 2 Tbs (20 g) Formula, add ?« (5 g) Tbs certified organic sunflower seeds.

Feeding Directions: -- feed fresh food daily. -- to help reduce waste, feed as distinct meals.

I initially used Harrison's High Potency Mash as a way to introduce my Cockatiels to pellets by sprinkling the mash on top of their regular food. Now that they readily eat Harrison's pellets, I still treat them to a sprinkling of High Potency Mash because they love it!

Special food for my special needs bird

My G.C. conure has no lower mandible and Harrison's Mash is a blessing for her. She loves this food because it is not a struggle to eat. It's been her main food for over 12 years. I supplement with fruit and veggies I blend in the food processor. My other birds love this also as a supplement to their pellets. If you have picky pellet eater try the mash.

Great Service!

My bird comes flying when I open the bag

I adopted a love bird. He had only been fed cheap seed. I bought this mash and mixed it in with a few seeds. It only took one day before my bird started eating it. Now he loves it. When I open the bag he comes flying. It’s a wonderful product.
