In the age of "porch pirates" shippers will protect themselves from paying for "lost packages" -- carriers will not pay a claim for a package that they have successfully delivered to the designated address and tracking information shoes it was delivered, and the package will be considered "stolen" and the only recourse a customer has is to file a police report and a claim with your homeowners insurance. To help protect your packages, you can opt for a Signature at Delivery - you have this option at Checkout to pay for USPS or FedEx signature options. IF YOU DO NOT select one of these options, you take the responsibility for lost packages and cannot hold the shipper or The Birdsafe Store responsible for replacing or refunding for your shipment. We highly recommend customers use USPS Informed Delivery and FedEx Delivery Manager to monitor their package progress.
